Maybe it's just me, but this one looks to me a bit like Klimt's "The Kiss". With one figure bending over the other in an embrace, "Klimtish" evokes a darker version of the original art. Something that's almost a blend of a Grimm Fairytale and the gold gilded art piece.
 
This is a dirty cup pour. It's one of the techniques I favour as it leads to so many surprises. Using the same colours, cup and canvas produces a different effect every time.
